Tecnocontrol specializes in ultrasonic welding inspections in particular materials, such as stainless steels that have a melted area with dendritic structure and particularly enlarged grain, in particular, working for years in the construction of large reactors or pressure vessels built entirely of stainless steel or cladded material (Customers Maraldi, Mangiarotti).
Great experience has also been gained on the examination of duplex, superduplex, Al alloys, Ni alloys, Cu alloys and dissimilar welds.
We have various sets of probes, mostly longitudinal waves, but also transversal and surface, of different sizes and focalizations, specifically designed for the control of welds on these materials, even with complex geometries and high thicknesses.
Tecnocontrol also has Phased Array matrix probes and qualified personnel to perform the Phased Array (also recorded) control of this type of welding, undoubtedly increasing the quality of the inspection compared to the conventional methods.
